CULINARY SAILING TRIP “GRAND CRU
EXTRAORDINARY CRUISE ON AN EXTRAORDINARY YACHT
SAIL – ENJOY – SWIM – CHILLOUT
DATE: 11.06.2021 TO 18.06.2021 – ONE WAY DUBROVNIK – PRIMOŠTEN
This unique sailing trip will probably be the most beautiful early summer trip in Croatia in 2022. It consists of two one-way trips, Primošten-Dubrovnik from 04.06. – 11.06. and Dubrovnik-Primošten from 11.06. – 18.06. In my experience, this time of year is the most beautiful time in the Adriatic, it is already summery warm, the days are very long and the places and bays are not yet overcrowded because of the early season.
We sail on a luxurious Dufour 520 from UTH, which offers much more comfort than most yachts.
One week time for this beautiful route between Primošten and Dubrovnik means the daily stages are rather short. We sail no more than max 5-6 hours per day. Therefore, the trip is also very suitable for beginners.
In early summer the winds are not very strong, which is why we always sail with a gennaker if the wind direction is suitable. With this large yacht, we can easily reach distances of 50 nm per day.
At noon we have enough time to anchor in a sunny turquoise bay, swim and have an aperitif. If you’re hungry, we can prepare something ourselves from the fresh produce on the market. Or we can just moor at the pier for a stroll and treat ourselves to an ice cream or a café on the promenade. We also plan to visit the “Stina Vinarija Bol” winery on Brac.
The ports of Hvar, Korcula and Starigrad will be visited in both directions. In order to have enough time ashore, we will dock in these beautiful places already in the afternoon and also spend the night there.
On the other days we will head for an anchorage or a small picturesque harbour in a fishing village towards evening. When we are at anchor, we will of course go swimming or snorkelling in the warm crystal clear water of the Adriatic or paddle on the SUP. Then, at a “jetty”, we take in the idyllic sunset over the Adriatic. Afterwards, as the title suggests, we go to the most rustic and secluded konobas there, away from mass tourism, and enjoy the Dalmatian specialities of the local cuisine.
In Dubrovnik, the yacht is completely cleaned at UTH and each cabin is equipped with fresh bed linen/towels/cosmetic set.
On one-way trips, the question of transfers sometimes arises. In this case, there is no need to choose two airports, as a transfer can be organised. There are two speed catamaran lines and various intercity buses between Dubrovnik and Split. Both options take less than 5 hours for this route.
