SKIPPER TRAINING CATAMARAN 3 DAYS 16.04.-19.04.2025 FROM TROGIR

SKIPPER TRAINING CATAMARAN FROM TROGIR

In spring 2024, we will again organize skipper trainings on catamarans with our Croatian partner companies and professional skippers, for skippers, beginners, and even for those interested without a sailing license. The primary goal is to perfectly master the maneuvers in the harbor under correct control of the two engines, but also to refresh or learn the maneuvers under sail and the safe steering of the yacht at sea, so that you can start your next trip more relaxed. These trainings are very popular, efficient, and still in a relaxed atmosphere, as they are conducted by experienced professional skippers who sail catamarans all season and are happy to share their knowledge, experiences, and tricks with you.

Are you still practicing or already chartering?

Why are the trainings with us so successful? With us, a skipper training lasts between 3 days and a week. According to the trainers, it takes at least 3 days of training to get to know the variety of meteorological and harbor-specific situations, and participants also need time to let what they have learned sink in. The skippers are Croatian professionals who do nothing but sail, harbor maneuvers, and yacht transfers all year round.

The training starts in Marina Kaštela with harbor maneuvers. Experience shows that shorter training sessions with breaks are more effective. Not only because of the tourist variety but also because of the diversity of different nautical conditions, it makes sense to sail from Kaštela to the next ports and bays during the breaks to practice there again. This leads to a mini trip over the ports and bays of the islands Solta, Drvenik, Zirje, Kaprije, Prvic, Zlarin, and on the mainland Primošten and Rogoznica. The places have been deliberately chosen because all harbor maneuvers, whether alongside, with mooring or bow anchor, can be practiced, as well as all anchoring maneuvers and buoy maneuvers in bays. The distances between the individual places are small but long enough for the skipper to explain to you while sailing how a professional practices the maneuvers under sail and also answers all questions about the ideal trim of the sails so that you also achieve maximum speed.

In the evening, you can either anchor in an idyllic bay or stay at the pier in one of the many small ports along the route. Your skipper will make suggestions, as it is his home and he knows it well.
